A Place for Families

The formation of families was at the heart of God’s plan when he created the heavens and the earth. The family reveals God’s character in a way nothing else can. A husband’s love for his wife exemplifies the love Jesus has for the church, and a wife’s love for her husband symbolizes the love the Church or the Bride of Christ has for Jesus.
After creating Adam and Eve, God gives the Creation Mandate in Genesis 1:28: “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.” Mankind is the masterpiece of God’s creation, and He placed His masterpiece within the context of a family. God designed marriage and families and instituted the family as the bedrock of society. Families are the foundation life is built on.
With the fall of Adam and Eve, sin and death entered the world, and the first family was negatively impacted. Satan has been targeting families since they were formed, and he is still attacking families today. Sin destroys marriages, leads children to rebel against the authority of their parents, and roles within the family become blurred.
One day, Jesus will return to earth and set all things right. He will bring restoration and healing, reversing sin’s curse, but until then, we occupy. We minister to families in need, and that is what our Four Corners Families (FCF) program is all about. Our FCF facility will provide housing for two mothers and up to six children. FCF clients will participate in staff-led classes such as parenting, finances and budgeting, household management, and a discipleship training program. In addition to classes, we will help our clients to either obtain employment or continue their education. When clients graduate from the program, we will send them out with essential necessities for their new home. Local businesses and churches have contacted us to lend their support and help supply our clients’ needs.
Our goal is God-given – to love, support, teach, and help single moms rebuild their lives while providing a comfortable and safe environment for their children. It is a big goal, but we serve a BIG God, and we know that He has called us to it, and He will equip us for it.
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
