Letter From the Editor
Dear Readers,
Welcome to the Spring 2021 edition of the Navajo Neighbors. In this edition,
you will meet Jered and Hannah Begay and read about God’s plan for their lives,
how He intervened in Jered’s life, and how he brought them together to serve
Him. You will also read about COVID-19’s impact on the Navajo Nation and how
people across the United States acted with God’s compassion to minister to
Navajo people in need.
Four Corners Home for Children has taken on a new look, and you will read
about that in a story of God’s provision. God’s people are featured in an article
about our donors, the lifeblood of our ministry.
Jack Drake founded Navajo Missions in 1953 to provide hope and restoration to
families in Navajoland. The name “Navajo Missions” remained in place for over
50 years. In 2006, our Board of Directors voted to legally change the name
to “Navajo Ministries,” a better description of who we were. This past year, we
legally changed our name to “Four Corners Home for Children.” We believe
this name better reflects who we are and what we do. Four Corners Home for
Children has always been a program of Navajo Missions/Ministries but is now
the ministry’s overall name.
• We have not changed who we are – we remain a Christ-centered
ministry, operating according to Biblical standards.
• We have not changed what we do – we provide a Christian home for
children, an on-site school, broadcast Christian music through Vertical
Radio, and minister to the Navajo people through our Navajo Nation
Outreach.
Thank you for continuing to pray for us and know that we pray for you, our
readers, daily.
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers
(Ephesians 1:16 NKJV).
ANNETTE REICH
Four Corners Home for Children President
